Timers – Renaming

By default, Timers are named “Timer1”, “Timer2”, etc. When working with more than one or two Timers, it can become difficult to remember which Timer is triggering which functions. To eliminate this confusion, Timers should always be renamed with a descriptive name.

The Rename function is accessible from the right-click context menu of the Timer or by selecting the Timer and pressing F2. After renaming a Timer, the new name will be used to identify that Timer in the Timers window, as well as in any selection list within ControlSpace® Designer, such as the right-click context menu for objects and the Project Directory.

A descriptive name for each Timer can eliminate confusion and prevent incorrect assignment of Timers.
